Thanks so much for visiting my Blog!

Here you will find selected images from photo sessions, weddings and any news I have to share.  I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in Melbourne, Australia.  I love to photograph people, no matter who they are; newborn babies, pregnant women, families, everyone.  Pin-Up and Boudoir Photography is an avenue that I enjoy, where you get to dress up and have a bit of fun.  Weddings are among my all time favourite things to photograph, I love the excitement of the day and all the details that go with it.  The flowers, the cars, the decorations, and of course the dress!  Having worked in a Bridal Boutique in the past, I have a love for beautiful gowns and fabrics and basically anything to do with a wedding –  I guess that comes with the territory of being a female photographer!

If you would like further information or would like to book a session please contact me via the contact form or call me on 03 9778 9766.

Blair – 7 day old newborn

December 16th, 2011

Jess and Greg came to see me this week with their beautiful little man Blair, who was only just a week old when we held his session. Greg’s sister Amanda, had given them a lovely early Christmas present, which was to have a newborn photo session taken by me.

It’s hard to believe that Jess only gave birth a week ago when you see how great she looks in these photos – even more amazing given the size of Blair, who was 10 pounds!

It was such a pleasure photographing this gorgeous little family, here’s a sneak peek for you…

Belinda & Damien | Immerse Winery Wedding

December 7th, 2011

Belinda and Damien were married on the weekend as St Patrick’s Church in Lilydale, with Belinda’s Uncle, Father Tom Williams playing a special part in the ceremony.

The couple chose the beautiful Immerse Winery in the Yarra Valley as the venue for their cocktail party reception. They wanted all of their guests on the dance floor, so decided not to have a traditional, sit down reception.

Immerse Winery is a fantastic location for wedding photography, with the beautiful rolling hills, fields and vines as a backdrop!

Here’s a sneak peek for Belinda and Damien who are enjoying their honeymoon in Vietnam and Thailand at the moment.

Hot Rod Pin-Up Girl shoot with Missy Michaels

December 7th, 2011

We had a traffic-stopping shoot this week with the gorgeous Missy Michaels and Daryl’s beautiful black 1932 Coupe. The men driving their cars past the location were rather impressed with both forms of eye candy, with the odd one stopping to shoot a few snaps of their own!

Daryl was very lucky to be given the shoot with Missy as his Birthday present by his lovely lady Barb. We met Barb and Daryl earlier this year at the Victorian Hot Rod Show at the Exhibition Buildings in Carlton.

Here are a few shots that I wanted to share that show off Daryl’s Hot Rod, which is a truly beautiful machine!

Kristal & Chris | Rosebank Wedding

November 30th, 2011

Kristal and Chris were married at Rosebank of North Ringwood in an outdoor, garden ceremony. The sky been promising to pour down on us all day, but the rain was kind enough to hold off until the very end of their ceremony! Thankfully, Kristal and Chris were not bothered at all by the weather and still managed to enjoy their day.

Kristal arrived at the venue in a beautiful cream coloured Cadillac, courtesy of the Caddyman, with Chauffeur Shirl being a wonderful help to Scott and I, ensuring that nobody got wet while we took the photos of Kristal, Chris and their bridal party.

Here a few shots from Kristal and Chris’ wedding that I would like to share.

Sok & Adnan | Plenty Ranges Wedding

November 30th, 2011

Sok and Adnan chose the luckiest day on the calendar to get married this year – 11/11/11. We must have seen a dozen or more weddings that day, and that was only in the South Morang area!

They both got ready together at their home in Craigieburn, with their families by their sides. It was a buzz or action and excitement as they all raced around getting organised.

Our first stop was the beautiful Queens Park in Moonee Ponds, a gorgeous setting for their photos, which they had decided to have taken before the ceremony. We wandered around the gardens, enjoying the sunshine and scenery of the park.

Our journey took us to Plenty Ranges where Sok and Adnan were married by Celebrant Rosemary Salvaris in a lovely outdoor ceremony with only their closest of family and friends present. At the end of the ceremony, they released a pair of beautiful white doves from White Angel Doves as a symbol of their eternal commitment to each other.

Here are a few images from Sok and Adnan’s wedding that I would like to share.

Miss R | Boudoir Photography Melbourne

November 30th, 2011

I met the lovely Miss R last week for a fun boudoir session. It was a mixture of a glamorous boudoir and pin-up shoot, where I got to try out my gorgeous new backdrop from the USA.

She has very generously allowed me to post a few shots from her session for you all to see, so I hope you like them!

Baby Ben | 10 day old newborn photographer

November 9th, 2011

Michelle came to see me this week with her new baby Ben who was just 10 days old. We had a great session with Ben sleeping the whole time, he was more than happy to be moved around until I got the shots I wanted.

The image of Michelle and Ben was beautiful to set up, as soon as she put her face against his, Ben gave a little smile!

Maite & Tristan | Huntingdale Golf Club Wedding

November 1st, 2011

Maite and Tristan were married by Celebrant Mark Stewart from Celebrants R Us on the weekend.

It was a lovely personal ceremony, held in the rose garden at Huntingdale Golf Club. Although is looked like it was going to be a day of rain and storms, the sun still managed to put on a lovely show for the ceremony which was held in the early evening.

Margaret from Huntingdale Golf Club arranged some golf carts for us to use to move around the course, which proved to be a bit of fun for us all! We managed to wander around the course capturing a few fun moments of the bridal party before we headed into the reception, just as the rain started.

The reception was decorated beautifully with candles glistening on the tables, and fish bowls filled with pale green orchids and twine. Maite’s father had made the bonbonniere which were white noodle boxes decorated with teal green ribbon and a diamonte detail. He also made the place card holders which were lovely little paper pom-poms in teal green and white.

Maite, a Pastry Chef at Etihad Stadium made the wedding cake which was decorated with little figurines of Tristan and herself in a bed! The guests loved it!

Bidharli & Dajarra | Newborn Twins Melbourne

October 19th, 2011

Kelle and Dustyn came to see me last week with their gorgeous little twin boys, Bidharli and Dajarra. Their names have special meanings for Dustyn, who is an indigenous Australian; Bidharli meaning Coast/Coastal and Dajarra meaning Desert/Town in Far North Queensland.

It’s not very often that I get to photograph newborn twins, so I was very excited when Kelle contacted me. We did a collection of images of the family together, and then waited for the boys to drift off to sleep. We managed to try a few different shots of the boys, with my favourite being the one of the twins resting on Dustyn’s chest with the Aboriginal blanket that was made by the girls at Victorian Aboriginal Health Service in the background.

I love the warmth and adoration shown in the images of Kelle and Dustyn with the boys, it really sums up the love they have for them.

Sam & Jono | Couples Photography Melbourne

October 18th, 2011

I had a great fun session with Sam and Jono on Sunday. It was a celebration of their first year together, and they decided to bring along their fur-baby (dog) Harley. We managed to have a wonderful sunny afternoon session, which looked like it was going to be rained out with Melbourne’s very unpredictable weather at the moment. I took Sam and Jono to a couple of locations that I’ve been wanting to shoot at for quite some time, as well as my favourite spot for coupley shots.

Here are a few of my favourites that I wanted to share.

Sienna – 5 day old newborn | Melbourne Photographer

October 12th, 2011

I’ve gotten to know Kim and Toby over the last few years, especially after having photographed their wedding at Nathania Springs in November last year. I was thrilled to know that Kim was expecting a baby, and even more excited when she asked me to photograph little Sienna this week.

Only 5 days old, Sienna was a wonderful little model, happy to allow me to take some shots of her stunning blue eyes and long eyelashes in between little naps, which enabled me to take some of the sleeping baby photos that I love so much.

There are so many images of Sienna that I love, but here are a few of my favourites that I wanted to share!

Charlie – 6 day old newborn | Melbourne

October 12th, 2011

I met baby Charlie this week with his lovely mum Kylee. Charlie would have to be one of the most alert little newborns that I’ve photographed, especially considering he was just 6 days old when he came to see me! He wasn’t interested in going to sleep at all, preferring to focus on what was happening around him.

Here are a few sneak peeks for Kylee while I work on the rest of Charlie’s images.

Lauren’s maternity photo session

October 10th, 2011

I mentioned back in September that I would post some of the beautiful images from the maternity photo session I did with Lauren, who was around 35 weeks pregnant when she came to me. She looked gorgeous in every photo, so it was hard choosing a few favourites!

I’ve finally been given the word that I could post a few of my favourites, so here they are!

Scott & Melissa | Fortnums Sassafras Wedding

October 9th, 2011

I was so excited to be asked to photograph the wedding of Melissa and Scott. Not only are they a lovely couple, I am happy to be able to call them my friends! I don’t normally post images this quickly, but I wanted to get a few up before they head off on their honeymoon to Vietnam this evening.

They were married at St Cuthberts Wedding Chapel in Menzies Creek yesterday, in a lovely intimate ceremony in front of family and friends.

Melissa and Scott chose to have some icons of the Dandenong Ranges present in their wedding photos; the Puffing Billy Railway crossing in Menzies Creek and the Trestle Bridge in Selby – both adding to the quiet country atmosphere of the wedding.

The reception was held at Fortnums in Sassafras, a beautiful light filled building, reminiscent of a garden greenhouse. Melissa had gone all out with carrying her theme of purple and black throughout the venue by decorating the tables with rose petals in shades of mauve, topped off with lovely little buckets of rock candy.

More images will follow soon!

Bec & Doug | Swallowfield Vineyard Wedding Photographer

October 5th, 2011

Bec and Doug chose Swallowfield Vineyard in Gembrook as the location for their wedding. This venue is a magnificent private property with so many locations scattered around the place that it has become my favourite wedding location to photograph.

The ceremony was held in the barn overlooking the property, with Bec and her bridesmaids walking down the aisle that had been decorated with rose petals and hurricane lanterns filled with candles. It was the perfect day for an outdoor marriage ceremony, which was conducted by Celebrant, Russell Healy from The Ceremony Store !

Bec, who wore a gorgeous silk wedding gown by Brides of Melbourne, arrived in style with her bridesmaids in a pair of shiny black Jaguars. Their bouquets contained a stunning mix of roses, tulips, lisianthus and berries, which contrasted beautifully with the girls who were dressed in navy.

Doug, who had not long returned from Afghanistan, had four of his mates as his groomsmen.

The reception was held at Forest Edge in Gembrook, and was decorated beautifully with linen toile, navy table runners, white roses and candles, all adding to the country atmosphere that was the flavour of the day.

It’s been hard choosing only a few images to show from Bec and Doug’s Swallowfield Vineyard wedding, as not a single detail was left to the imagination!

Jennifer & Terry | Melbourne Registry Office

September 16th, 2011

Jennifer and Terry were finally married today after 27 years together! The ceremony was held at the Old Treasury Building’s Marriage Registry Office in Melbourne.

Not expecting to have their wedding photographed, I was asked to attend by their daughter Bec as a surprise to Jennifer and Terry.

After the short registry service, we walked to the Hotel Windsor where we did a quick shoot before Jennifer and Terry, and their three special guests, headed to the dining room where they enjoyed one of the Windsor’s famous High Tea services.

I thought I’d share a few special moments from their special day!

Jessie & Sean | Ashton Manor Wedding

September 16th, 2011

Jessie and Sean were married by Celebrant Mark Stewart (Celebrants R Us) at Ashton Manor in Diamond Creek.

They were attended by family and friends in their bridal party, who were dressed in a lovely blue which contrasted beautifully against the Armstrong Siddeley from Fleetwood Limousines. Jessie and Sean’s little son James looked gorgeous as a mini groomsman in his tiny suit and curly locks.

Here’s a sneak peek from Jessie and Sean’s wedding.

Lafeyette Fine Art Wedding Album | Melbourne Wedding Photographer

September 15th, 2011

I had to share the lastest addition to my collection of wedding albums, which I am sure is going to become a favourite to not only me, but the couples getting married over the next few year.

Made from beautiful Asahi Silk (Japanese Book Cloth), the Lafeyette album is printed on fine art paper making for a timeless, elegant finish. This album is shown with it’s matching box, and is finished with pretty ivory ribbon.

For those of you who are waiting on updated wedding packages, including a new package for the new Lafeyette album, I will be releasing them in the coming days.

The couple shown in the Lafeyette album is Faye and Steve, who were married at the gorgeous Studley Park Boathouse in Autumn this year.

I hope you like it as much as I do!

Baby Jasmine | Melbourne Newborn Photography

September 13th, 2011

Gorgeous little Jasmine came with her parents Lauren and Andrew for her first ever photo session when she was just 10 days old! It was only a few weeks earlier that I had had a maternity session with her mum and we were madly guessing if she was going to be a boy or a girl. As soon as I get the word, I will post some images from Lauren’s maternity photo session.

Here are a few images of Jasmine that I would like to share…

Sharyn & Aaron | Marybrooke Wedding Photographer

September 13th, 2011

I was so excited when Sharyn and Aaron asked me to photograph their wedding this year. I met them a couple of years ago when they came to me to have their baby daughter Grace photographed.

They chose Marybrooke in the Dandenongs as the venue for their afternoon tea wedding, which was a lovely intimate affair with only a small number of guests. Sharyn and Aaron’s kids, Grace and Nicholas, played a special role in the ceremony, standing (or rather being held!) by their parents as they said their vows. This made for some lovely photos of their little family as they shared in such a special day!

Sarah, Gerrie & Oscar | Melbourne Portrait Photographer

September 13th, 2011

Sarah and Gerrie came to see me with little Oscar, only a week or two before Sarah gave birth to a baby girl, Lily.

We headed to my favourite spot at the foot of the Dandenongs to make use of the last of the Autumn leaves that were still clinging hopefully to the big Oak tree. There were only a few cows off in the distance which was a shame as I was hoping we could introduce them to Oscar!

This is such a cute little family, that I had to share a few shots from their session (even though it was done a few months ago!).

Addison | Melbourne Baby Photographer

September 13th, 2011

Little Addison (I photographed her when she was only a brand new, 5 day old newborn earlier this year) came to visit me last week with her mum. I was very excited to be able to use my new backdrop that I’d bought from the USA! Something a little different from my usual vivid white backdrops, this one is a beautiful brown damask with polka dots, and goes perfectly with my spotted gum flooring.

Here are a few images of Addison who is growing into such beautiful little baby! I can’t believe she is six months old already.

Kristy & James – a Hollywood Love Story | Lyrebird Falls

August 30th, 2011

Kristy met James who was working at Slide Bar in the US while she was on holidays…. it was meant to be! After a bit of travelling between countries, James moved to Melbourne to start a new life with Kristy.

They were married at Lyrebird Falls last week by Celebrant Mark Stewart. Kristy and James certainly added their own style to their wedding, with James and his Groomsmen, who had travelled out from Fullerton California, arriving in a black hearse! The boys from The Dharma Party jammed while waiting for guests to arrive, which made for some great shots.

Kristy had her three sisters as her bridesmaids. The girls were dressed in gorgeous black satin and lace vintage inspired dresses, and complimented Kristy’s stunning gown perfectly. Kristy wore an oyster coloured tulle and lace gown that had been made especially for her by her incredibly talented mother Debbie (she also made the bridesmaid dresses). Make Up By Sam did the girls faces, and Neita Pratt did the girls hair.

The girls arrived at the venue in style, driven by Tore from Fleetwood Limousines. It was a perfect choice of car for the girls as it matched the vintage style completely!

There are too many photos to name a favourite, but here are a few that I wanted to share (so far anyway!).

Jason & Rachelle | Bramleigh Winter Wedding

August 10th, 2011

I photographed Jason & Rachelle’s wedding at Bram Leigh Receptions in Croydon recently.

They had an entourage of attendants, who were all children from the family! They certainly stole the show with their cuteness.

Jason and Rachelle’s children, Ben and Caitlin were super excited to be part of the bridal party, both looking incredibly proud of their parents.

Here is a sneak peek from their wedding at Bram Leigh.

Natasha & Ben | Fortnums Wedding Sassafras

August 10th, 2011

Natasha & Ben were married on a beautiful Winters day in the Dandenong Ranges. It was cold, but we were lucky enough to have the sun shine all afternoon!

Natasha is a super talented sewer, she even made her wedding dress!

The Autumn leaves were still gracing the big oak tree (at my favourite secret location!) which gave us a lovely golden glow as the sun was setting in the afternoon.

The reception was held at Fortnums in Sassafras, which is a lovely venue that is a bit of an icon in the Dandenongs.
