Bidharli & Dajarra | Newborn Twins Melbourne

October 19th, 2011

Kelle and Dustyn came to see me last week with their gorgeous little twin boys, Bidharli and Dajarra. Their names have special meanings for Dustyn, who is an indigenous Australian; Bidharli meaning Coast/Coastal and Dajarra meaning Desert/Town in Far North Queensland. It’s not very often that I get to photograph newborn twins, so I was [...]

It’s not very often that I get to photograph newborn twins, so I was very excited when Kelle contacted me. We did a collection of images of the family together, and then waited for the boys to drift off to sleep. We managed to try a few different shots of the boys, with my favourite being the one of the twins resting on Dustyn’s chest with the Aboriginal blanket that was made by the girls at Victorian Aboriginal Health Service in the background.

I love the warmth and adoration shown in the images of Kelle and Dustyn with the boys, it really sums up the love they have for them.

Sam & Jono | Couples Photography Melbourne

October 18th, 2011

I had a great fun session with Sam and Jono on Sunday. It was a celebration of their first year together, and they decided to bring along their fur-baby (dog) Harley. We managed to have a wonderful sunny afternoon session, which looked like it was going to be rained out with Melbourne’s very unpredictable weather [...]

We managed to have a wonderful sunny afternoon session, which looked like it was going to be rained out with Melbourne’s very unpredictable weather at the moment. I took Sam and Jono to a couple of locations that I’ve been wanting to shoot at for quite some time, as well as my favourite spot for coupley shots.

Here are a few of my favourites that I wanted to share.

Sienna – 5 day old newborn | Melbourne Photographer

October 12th, 2011

I’ve gotten to know Kim and Toby over the last few years, especially after having photographed their wedding at Nathania Springs in November last year. I was thrilled to know that Kim was expecting a baby, and even more excited when she asked me to photograph little Sienna this week. Only 5 days old, Sienna [...]

Only 5 days old, Sienna was a wonderful little model, happy to allow me to take some shots of her stunning blue eyes and long eyelashes in between little naps, which enabled me to take some of the sleeping baby photos that I love so much.

There are so many images of Sienna that I love, but here are a few of my favourites that I wanted to share!

Charlie – 6 day old newborn | Melbourne

October 12th, 2011

I met baby Charlie this week with his lovely mum Kylee. Charlie would have to be one of the most alert little newborns that I’ve photographed, especially considering he was just 6 days old when he came to see me! He wasn’t interested in going to sleep at all, preferring to focus on what was [...]

Charlie would have to be one of the most alert little newborns that I’ve photographed, especially considering he was just 6 days old when he came to see me! He wasn’t interested in going to sleep at all, preferring to focus on what was happening around him.

Here are a few sneak peeks for Kylee while I work on the rest of Charlie’s images.

Lauren’s maternity photo session

October 10th, 2011

I mentioned back in September that I would post some of the beautiful images from the maternity photo session I did with Lauren, who was around 35 weeks pregnant when she came to me. She looked gorgeous in every photo, so it was hard choosing a few favourites! I’ve finally been given the word that [...]

Scott & Melissa | Fortnums Sassafras Wedding

October 9th, 2011

I was so excited to be asked to photograph the wedding of Melissa and Scott. Not only are they a lovely couple, I am happy to be able to call them my friends! I don’t normally post images this quickly, but I wanted to get a few up before they head off on their honeymoon [...]

I was so excited to be asked to photograph the wedding of Melissa and Scott. Not only are they a lovely couple, I am happy to be able to call them my friends! I don’t normally post images this quickly, but I wanted to get a few up before they head off on their honeymoon to Vietnam this evening.

They were married at St Cuthberts Wedding Chapel in Menzies Creek yesterday, in a lovely intimate ceremony in front of family and friends.

Melissa and Scott chose to have some icons of the Dandenong Ranges present in their wedding photos; the Puffing Billy Railway crossing in Menzies Creek and the Trestle Bridge in Selby – both adding to the quiet country atmosphere of the wedding.

The reception was held at Fortnums in Sassafras, a beautiful light filled building, reminiscent of a garden greenhouse. Melissa had gone all out with carrying her theme of purple and black throughout the venue by decorating the tables with rose petals in shades of mauve, topped off with lovely little buckets of rock candy.

More images will follow soon!

Bec and Doug chose Swallowfield Vineyard in Gembrook as the location for their wedding. This venue is a magnificent private property with so many locations scattered around the place that it has become my favourite wedding location to photograph.

The ceremony was held in the barn overlooking the property, with Bec and her bridesmaids walking down the aisle that had been decorated with rose petals and hurricane lanterns filled with candles. It was the perfect day for an outdoor marriage ceremony, which was conducted by Celebrant, Russell Healy from The Ceremony Store !

Bec, who wore a gorgeous silk wedding gown by Brides of Melbourne, arrived in style with her bridesmaids in a pair of shiny black Jaguars. Their bouquets contained a stunning mix of roses, tulips, lisianthus and berries, which contrasted beautifully with the girls who were dressed in navy.

Doug, who had not long returned from Afghanistan, had four of his mates as his groomsmen.

The reception was held at Forest Edge in Gembrook, and was decorated beautifully with linen toile, navy table runners, white roses and candles, all adding to the country atmosphere that was the flavour of the day.

It’s been hard choosing only a few images to show from Bec and Doug’s Swallowfield Vineyard wedding, as not a single detail was left to the imagination!
