Allison was attended by her sister and three of her friends, who were dressed in gorgeous coral pink dresses, along with two beautiful little flowergirls. Andrew had his brother, Alison’s brother and two friends as his groomsmen, making it a huge bridal party of twelve! The coral of the girls dressed looked amazing among the Liquid Amber leaves at Potters, which is full of beautiful orange, red and gold leaves at this time of year.

We made the most of the Potters gallery, keeping everyone out of the cold Melbourne weather. As always, Potters was a fabulous venue for photographs, with such a variety of places to tell the story of Alison and Andrew’s wedding day.

Enjoy your honeymoon in Bali Mr and Mrs Z…

Another gorgeous wedding that I had the pleasure of photographing!

Sarah and Brett were married over the weekend at the stunning Clyde Park Vineyard in Bannockburn, just out of Geelong. The ceremony was conducted by Civil Celebrant Nicole Penning.

The girl’s bouquets were an eclectic mix of hydrangeas, chrysanthemums and lisianthus, bound by twine, and perfectly matched to their purple bridesmaids dresses. Sarah’s bouquet was a monochrome version of the girls, in ivory and white.

Sarah and Brett gave their bridal party handpicked gifts of goodie bags filled with special little things for the girls and personalised leather flasks for the boys. Such a lovely way to say thank you.

To say that Sarah had gone to a little bit of an effort is a complete UNDERSTATEMENT! This wedding was a feast for the eyes! From the littlest of details, to the atmosphere of the barrel room where the reception was held, everything was just beautiful.

Clyde Park Vineyard Bistro would have to be one of the most unique wedding venues you will come across. Boasting magnificent views across the valley and a working barrel room by day, that happily transforms into a stunningly rustic reception venue by night. Sarah had chosen a vintage theme as the inspiration behind her wedding, taking advantage of the rustic nature of the barrel room. Adorned with flowers and candles, and vintage trinkets, nothing was left to the imagination.

Here is just a taste of Sarah and Brett’s wedding.

Claire and David chose to get married in March, which is Autumn in Melbourne. The perfect time of year in the Dandenong Ranges, where the trees are adorned with colourful leaves of orange and red, mixed in with the lush green of the gardens. It seemed like we were going to avoid the rain, with the sun filtering through the clouds most of the day, until the very moment that Claire and her bridesmaids arrived at Tatra. It was a mad scramble for the umbrellas to shield the bride from the rain, which did not wipe the smile from Claire’s beaming face.

They chose Tatra Receptions in Mt Dandenong as the venue for the ceremony, which was conducted by Celebrant Barbara Hilshorst, in the Tatra Chapel, witnessed by their closest family and friends.

Claire wore a stunning vintage inspired lace gown from Raffaele Ciuca , and carried a dainty bouquet of orange and cream roses. Her bridesmaids wore classic styled, navy blue dresses.

A special note that I would like to mention is that the car that Claire and her father travelled to the wedding in, was the same car that her parents used as their wedding car over 30 years ago. It’s been the very same car that has been used by many of Claire’s family and friends, so the history is something very special indeed!

Thank you Claire and David for asking me to be a part of your very special day xx

I first met Rach and Matt in Winter last year and I knew that their wedding was going to be special. Rach had brought along their ‘save the date’ card which she had made herself and was a sure sign that this wedding was going to have a theme and stick to it.

The Perfect Pear was the theme of the day, with details, details, details!

Rach and Matt chose a ‘destination wedding’ as all of their guests were scattered across the country and would have to travel no matter where it was held. The destination was Dunkeld, a tiny town in the far west of Victoria, known as the Southern Grampians. It is home to the famous Royal Mail Hotel, boasting 3 Chefs Hats. The stunningly beautiful Mt Sturgeon Estate sits at the base of Mt Sturgeon and is a fully working sheep station.

The ceremony was held in the wool shed at Mt Sturgeon Estate, which sheltered the couple and their guests from the drizzling rain outside. It was a fantastic setting for a country wedding, with the most amazing light, filtering through the rusty sheets of iron on the roof.

Mt Sturgeon provided a wonderful backdrop to the homestead where guests enjoyed cocktails on the veranda, while the bridal party had photos taken around the estate.

The reception was held at The Royal Mail’s Events Centre and it was there that the theme really followed through.

Rach had chosen pears with individual name tags as the place settings for guests, each tag being hand stamped, letter by letter! The tables were adorned with posies of flowers that reflected the girls bouquets and tea light candles shimmering with the glassware. The tables were also decorated with handmade hessian bags, finished off with Rach and Matt’s motif.

The wedding cake was a cheese cake, literally, with cheese wheels stacked up high, trimmed with succulents and twine.

This post is heavy on the images, I just had to share all of the beautiful details that made Rach and Matt’s wedding so beautiful!

The boys sweltered away in the heat of the day, but were kind enough to leave their jackets on throughout the ceremony, a show of true dedication to the wedding if you ask me!

We used the beautiful Werribee Mansion as the backdrop for most of Michelle and David’s wedding photos, along with some of the other little spots hidden in the vacinity.

Their reception was held in the lovely Werribee Park Mansion Ballroom, where the guests enjoyed the cool air conditioning after the hot garden ceremony.

I was very excited to be asked to photograph Ruth and Leigh’s wedding, especially when I heard that they were getting married at the same church that Scott and I were married in over eight years ago!

Ruth and Leigh had chosen to take their vows in front of family and friends at the beautiful, bluestone Church of the Immaculate Conception in Hawthorn. It brought back so many memories of when Scott and I took our vows that it felt like only yesterday that we were married!

This post is about Ruth and Leigh, not Scott and myself, but I just had to share!!

Ruth had some of her life-long friends accompany her down the aisle, including two of them who had travelled all the way from her home country of Ireland just to be there! Her bridesmaids wore purple, which co-ordinated perfectly with the boys in their charcoal suits. Ruth’s mother, a couturier, made her gown, which I have been told she had always planned on her daughter’s wedding dress to be the last one she ever made before she sold her machine. Now that’s special!

We went to a couple of my favourite locations before we headed across town to Bayview Eden in Albert Park. Ruth had chosen the lovely old mansion as the location of their photos, which I’m sure you’ll agree was certainly a fantastic choice.

Here are a few shots from Ruth and Leigh’s wedding at Bayview Eden.

Sok and Adnan chose the luckiest day on the calendar to get married this year – 11/11/11. We must have seen a dozen or more weddings that day, and that was only in the South Morang area!

They both got ready together at their home in Craigieburn, with their families by their sides. It was a buzz or action and excitement as they all raced around getting organised.

Our first stop was the beautiful Queens Park in Moonee Ponds, a gorgeous setting for their photos, which they had decided to have taken before the ceremony. We wandered around the gardens, enjoying the sunshine and scenery of the park.

Our journey took us to Plenty Ranges where Sok and Adnan were married by Celebrant Rosemary Salvaris in a lovely outdoor ceremony with only their closest of family and friends present. At the end of the ceremony, they released a pair of beautiful white doves from White Angel Doves as a symbol of their eternal commitment to each other.

Maite and Tristan were married by Celebrant Mark Stewart from Celebrants R Us on the weekend.

It was a lovely personal ceremony, held in the rose garden at Huntingdale Golf Club. Although is looked like it was going to be a day of rain and storms, the sun still managed to put on a lovely show for the ceremony which was held in the early evening.

Margaret from Huntingdale Golf Club arranged some golf carts for us to use to move around the course, which proved to be a bit of fun for us all! We managed to wander around the course capturing a few fun moments of the bridal party before we headed into the reception, just as the rain started.

The reception was decorated beautifully with candles glistening on the tables, and fish bowls filled with pale green orchids and twine. Maite’s father had made the bonbonniere which were white noodle boxes decorated with teal green ribbon and a diamonte detail. He also made the place card holders which were lovely little paper pom-poms in teal green and white.

Maite, a Pastry Chef at Etihad Stadium made the wedding cake which was decorated with little figurines of Tristan and herself in a bed! The guests loved it!

They were married at St Cuthberts Wedding Chapel in Menzies Creek yesterday, in a lovely intimate ceremony in front of family and friends.

Melissa and Scott chose to have some icons of the Dandenong Ranges present in their wedding photos; the Puffing Billy Railway crossing in Menzies Creek and the Trestle Bridge in Selby – both adding to the quiet country atmosphere of the wedding.

The reception was held at Fortnums in Sassafras, a beautiful light filled building, reminiscent of a garden greenhouse. Bec and Doug chose Swallowfield Vineyard in Gembrook as the location for their wedding. This venue is a magnificent private property with so many locations scattered around the place that it has become my favourite wedding location to photograph.

The ceremony was held in the barn overlooking the property, with Bec and her bridesmaids walking down the aisle that had been decorated with rose petals and hurricane lanterns filled with candles. It was the perfect day for an outdoor marriage ceremony, which was conducted by Celebrant, Russell Healy from The Ceremony Store !

Bec, who wore a gorgeous silk wedding gown by Brides of Melbourne, arrived in style with her bridesmaids in a pair of shiny black Jaguars. Their bouquets contained a stunning mix of roses, tulips, lisianthus and berries, which contrasted beautifully with the girls who were dressed in navy.

Doug, who had not long returned from Afghanistan, had four of his mates as his groomsmen.

It’s been hard choosing only a few images to show from Bec and Doug’s Swallowfield Vineyard wedding, as not a single detail was left to the imagination!

Kristy met James who was working at Slide Bar in the US while she was on holidays…. it was meant to be! After a bit of travelling between countries, James moved to Melbourne to start a new life with Kristy.

They were married at Lyrebird Falls last week by Celebrant Mark Stewart. Kristy and James certainly added their own style to their wedding, with James and his Groomsmen, who had travelled out from Fullerton California, arriving in a black hearse! The boys from The Dharma Party jammed while waiting for guests to arrive, which made for some great shots.

Kristy had her three sisters as her bridesmaids. The girls were dressed in gorgeous black satin and lace vintage inspired dresses, and complimented Kristy’s stunning gown perfectly. Kristy wore an oyster coloured tulle and lace gown that had been made especially for her by her incredibly talented mother Debbie (she also made the bridesmaid dresses). Make Up By Sam did the girls faces, and Neita Pratt did the girls hair.

The girls arrived at the venue in style, driven by Tore from Fleetwood Limousines. It was a perfect choice of car for the girls as it matched the vintage style completely!

There are too many photos to name a favourite, but here are a few that I wanted to share (so far anyway!).

Being in country Victoria, I had great visions of all the places we could go to shoot their wedding photos. We ventured out Wanganui Homestead for some shots, which proved to be a fantastic location. So many different looks at the one place!  I love how there was a mix of old Edwardian architecture and a country lane feel to the location.

The reception was held at The Connection, where Sarah had arranged a fantastic blue and white candy buffet. Who knew there were so many blue lollies out there!

Here are just a few of my favourites images from Sarah and Craig’s wedding in Shepparton…..

I was very excited to hear that Hayley and Gary, who would have to be one of the sweetest couples I’ve met and who are regular clients of mine, had become engaged.

To mark the occasion, Hayley called me up to book an engagement session, which she wanted to have in their lovely new home with their fur baby Bronte.

Although it was about the lovely couple, Bronte certainly stole the show!
